Since 2003, the association Latitudes Contemporaines supports and brings to public attention new choreographic methods by presenting each year in Lille – Roubaix – Tourcoing a contemporary dance festival dedicated to creations with an innovative and multidisciplinary approach. From its inception, the festival has been lauded by audiences and critics alike for the coherence and audacity of its programme.
In 2006, Latitudes Contemporaines wished to expand its activities by initiating a project that unites creation, distribution and communication in a coherent way for the benefit of the artists and the public: the production office Latitudes Prod. offers to 7 artists a form of accompaniment specific to their project (creative residencies, scouting for partners and co-producers, international distribution…), forming a support network for actions geared towards medium- and long term mediation, by working in synergy with the artists who are associated with it.
In the fields of experimentation and innovation, Latitudes Contemporaines and Latitudes Prod are structured as a platform for the presentation, distribution and promotion of contemporary creation.
