With Chevreuil (working title) I would like to pursue certain working methods that were explored in previous works, more specifically the notion of not focussing on a particular theme for the research of the creation. That is to say, delineate a field of research by juxtaposing notions, be that referents that each opens up new horizons in the work, rather than questions that need answering by any straight line of thinking. Chevreuil will therefore not be a piece about translation, nor is it a work in the realm of contextual aesthetics. Chevreuil will contain the results of a work on translation as well as a work on the notion of context. With Chevreuil I want to access the fabrication of the process of reassessing a thought through verbal expression and its counterpart in dance; (and hereby distancing myself from any cynicism, I do not think that this will be just another project “dance and voice”).
